Hiring a photo booth for your wedding is a fantastic idea. They are great fun and provide entertainment and reward for your guests as well as a lasting memory. It's easy to see how they are becoming the hottest must have!

Historically photo booths would have contained a series of tanks with chemicals and your print came out wet. Since the advent of digital photography this is no longer the case and in most instances the print is dry as soon as it's dispensed.

The trouble is there isn't standard. If you hire a chocolate fountain you get a chocolate fountain, sure there are different sizes but essentially it does the same thing, melts chocolate onto a tiered platform into which you and your guests dip numerous sumptuous treats. Photo Booths aren't like this.

For example there is the traditional passport style booths, the one we've all seen in Woolworth or supermarket foyers up and down the country, typically these are designed for 1 person, though as many of us will recall we've crammed into them with our mates. Just remember you were probably 12 at the time and a lot smaller! That's their draw back, their size makes them difficult for guests to use at parties and almost all of them have that groovy little swivel seat in the middle just how are your friends also going to get in? If retro style is more important chances are this is the booth you'll want.

The other alternative currently available may be home made or commercially purchased but often referred to as a Party Photo Booth, these booths have been designed specifically for the entertainment sector for which they are intended. The main purpose being they are physically larger and therefore can hold more people at once. This is important at events such as weddings as usually your guests will want to use the booth in groups. Bearing in mind also that the bride is likely to be in a dress that has a large skirt and indeed some of the guests, bridesmaids etc. these booths are designed to accommodate this.
